Disclosure: We ran out of time so we didn’t get to this class.
Students will now attach a mini electric motor to their foam/clay boat they made in week 4. This should be attached to the stern (they should have left space) of the boat. Using this final boat example is to review all scientific concepts (buoyancy, propulsion, etc) to parts of a boat to different types of boats. Students can race with their boats.
Inquiry Question: Did your initial hypothesis (the one set in week 4) work? What changes do you think you could have made to make your boat run more smooth?
